Gujarat High Court seeks state’s reply over ban on Gogo paper

Gujarat High Court has sought a response from the Gujarat government after a notification issued by the Home department banning the sale of Gogo paper was challenged in court. The matter has been listed for further hearing next week.

The state government imposed the ban amid concerns over the increasing use of Gogo paper for consuming ganja and other intoxicating substances, with such items reportedly being sold at pan shops and similar outlets. 

However, traders have argued that the notification has led to indiscriminate and illogical restrictions, adversely affecting legitimate business activities.
